Cominly ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Shashitu Enterprises LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Cominly mobile application and website.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and — if you choose to add it — your mobile phone number. We also collect the content you post within your communities (posts, messages, events, contributions) and basic usage data needed to operate the service.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate the Cominly service: to create and manage your account, deliver posts and notifications within your communities, run savings circles and mutual-aid groups, verify your identity, and keep the service secure.
Mobile phone numbers & SMS
Adding a phone number is optional. If you add one and opt in, we use it to send you transactional SMS messages such as verification codes and urgent community and mutual-aid alerts. You can reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. See our SMS Program page for details.
Cominly does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in/consent data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information obtained as part of the SMS consent process is used only to deliver the messages you signed up for and is not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
How we share information
Content you post is visible to members of your community per its settings. We use service providers (such as cloud hosting and messaging providers) solely to operate the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Children
Cominly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
You may update your profile, remove your phone number, opt out of SMS (reply STOP), or request account deletion at any time from within the app or by contacting us.
